no wifi on macos login screen

Issue

• There is no WIFI icon on the top right of the log in or lock screen on macOS device. 
• I need to connect to WIFI to setup the device. 

Solution

• Restart the macOS device and then quickly press and hold the Power button.
• You should see Continue to Holding for Startup Options after a few seconds.
• Continue to hold the Power button until you see Loading Startup Options. 
• After a few seconds, you should see two icons; Macintosh HD and Options, select Options and then click the Continue button. 
• On the next screen, select a preferred language, and then on the next screen, you see the WIFI icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
• Select your WIFI and enter the security key to get connected.
