Configuration Profiles/Policies Issues

  • Mozilla Firefox has no configuration settings in Administrative Templates or Settings Catalog in Intune as of May 13th 2024.
  • Computer Configuration>>>Administrative Templates>>>Google>>>Google Update>>Applications>>>Update Policy Override and Computer Configuration>>>Administrative Templates>>>Google>>>Google Update>>Applications>>>Google Chrome>>>Update Policy Override equivalent settings are not available in Intune as of May 13th 2024; they are available for Microsoft Edge.

Group Policy Analyzer Issues

  • As of May 13th 2024, when you use Group Policy Analyzer to migrate Google Chrome settings to Intune, it will convert them to Microsoft Edge settings; only the “Set Google Chrome as Default Browser” will be migrated as a Google Chrome policy in Intune. Solution is to create a new Configuration Profile for Google Chrome settings in Intune using Administrative Templates.
  •  Group Policy Analyzer cannot migrate registry settings in GPOs to configuration profiles in Intune as of May 13th 2024. Solution is that you can package the registry settings with CMD or Powershell script and package them as Win32apps or for the Powershell you can deploy it directly in Intune.
